How We Approach Every Pole Barn Project
1. Site Selection & Planning
We help you evaluate the best location on your property for the barn — considering terrain, drainage, access, and intended use. Good placement decisions at this stage save money and headaches later.
2. Site Clearing & Grubbing
We clear all vegetation, trees, and stumps from the building footprint and surrounding area, then remove organic topsoil that would compromise the building pad's stability.
3. Grading & Building Pad Preparation
We grade the site to establish a level, properly drained building pad. This is the most critical step — a pad that isn't level or that drains toward the structure will cause long-term problems for the building.
4. Gravel Pad & Drainage Installation
We install a compacted gravel base of appropriate depth for the intended use. Drainage is graded away from the building and culverts or drainage pipes are installed as needed.
5. Pole Barn Construction
With the site prepared, we build the pole barn to your specifications — size, height, door placement, roofline, and any additional features. Every post is set in properly prepared holes with concrete, and the structure is built plumb and square throughout.
