A Veteran-Owned Company With Roots in Central Kentucky
Kentucky Legacy Construction is a full-service excavation and site work company based in Lancaster, Kentucky. We serve homeowners, landowners, developers, and contractors across Central Kentucky — from Danville and Harrodsburg to Lexington, Richmond, Nicholasville, Winchester, Stanford, and beyond.
We got our start the same way most great things do — with a commitment to do the job right and a reputation built one project at a time. Today, that reputation is backed by more than 15 years of hands-on experience in excavation, site prep, land clearing, underground utilities, and more.

Doug Goens - President

Doug Goens is the Founder and Owner of Kentucky Legacy Construction, bringing over 12 years of commercial and residential construction experience. With a background in electrical contracting, project management, estimating, heavy equipment operation, and site development, Doug has experience leading projects of all sizes, from residential property improvements to large commercial work.
Before starting Kentucky Legacy Construction, Doug spent years helping lead operations and manage complex construction projects, gaining valuable experience in planning, communication, budgeting, and job execution. Today, he brings that same attention to detail and commitment to quality to every project, whether it’s grading a driveway, clearing land, installing utilities, or preparing a site for construction.
Before entering the construction industry, Doug proudly served his country for 10 years in the United States Air Force. The discipline, leadership, and work ethic developed during his military service continue to shape the way he leads and serves customers today.
Above all, Doug strives to put Christ first in every aspect of life and business. He believes work should be done with honesty, integrity, and a servant’s mindset. His goal is to serve customers well, build trust, and leave every project better than he found it.
Andrew Knoll - VP of Operations

As Vice President of Operations for Kentucky Legacy Construction, Andrew brings over 10 years of commercial and residential construction experience. With a strong background in heavy equipment operation, crew leadership, site development, and project management, he is committed to delivering quality workmanship and helping bring each customer’s vision to life, no matter the size of the project.
Throughout his career, Andrew has worked on a wide range of projects, including serving as Project Manager for a large outdoor amphitheater development, where he oversaw day-to-day coordination, communication, layout, equipment operation, and overall project execution from the ground up. His hands-on experience across multiple phases of construction gives him a practical, detail-oriented approach to every job.
Above all, Andrew is a man of faith who strives to put Christ first in all aspects of life and business. He believes in serving others with integrity, building meaningful relationships, and leaving a lasting legacy through hard work, honesty, and excellence.
